Well over the last few months our Monday meetings have been busy wee affairs, what wi’ dancing, singin’ and relaxing, we have no really had a chance to catch up with each other it’s all been sort of rushed.

So this month’s Monday meeting will give us all a chance to catch up with each other, we have had a lot of new people popping in of late, so it will be good to say hi and howzitgaun, and take a bit of time with each other.

This month’s meeting will be on Monday 29th October at the Chaplaincy at the BGH. 2pm till 4pm.

A WORD ABOUT TRANSPORT

Could anyone who would like to come to the monthly meetings and doesn’t have transport or

public transport,(or can’t manage public transport) please let me know, I’m trying to find out

how many people are in this position so something can be set up for those who want to attend

but have difficulty in doing so, if you can contact me on

07949 256 592/07525145421.

The meetings take place the last Monday in the month at the chaplaincy centre BGH 2-4pm and is a good opportunity to meet people in the same position and exchange ideas and ways of coping.

Thanks.

I NOW KNOW HOW WELL OFF AM UR !!

We’re the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Recently I have been jetting off on the high life as Hils and I headed fur Mallorca an oor summer holz!! Aye I know its October!!

But recently I have been reaping the benefits of Holistic Massages frae Lesley. Lesley suggested I try and get a massage while on ma holz so that was ma holiday challenge to find a massage person and compare!!

And naw we’re no talkin aboot seedy massage places stuff!  Well after much search and deliberation between Hils and me I booked a session with this Chinese Chappy.!!

He beat the living daylights oot oa me!!  Gone were those gentle loosening of the neck muscles from Lesley, as ma Chinese Chappy beat the cr...oops living daylights out of me!!

Gone was the tranquil music from the Andes from Lesley, to be replaced by the music from the pub next door which covered my screams, as he punched an karate chopped ma back!!  I still have this vision in my head of him; actually I think I’m psychologically disturbed now!!

I keep getting his picture in my head when I opened my eyes and seeing this strange Chinese man’s face upside doon as he leaned over me  saying, ‘you massage all feeneeshed!’ and his cheesy grin!!  Jings a just hope Lesley will take me back!!  I think am turning intae a big softy me!!

But to finish positively the next day after ma massage I was a wee bitty sore, the day after the next day till me holidays finished I felt brill. so Mr Chinese Chappy thank you!!  I’ll never complain to Lesley again!!

Young Parky’s Gig

This is proving to be very popular, after 5 months it is turning into an enjoyable social outing, chatting with folk who understand over a meal. Our hosts at Nachos have been very good to us.

So for those of you who are young and living with Parky if you would like to pop along do so we meet at sixish and usually order around half six, this all happens at Nachos Fiesta in the High Street Galashiels. Just turn up or leave a message for Gary on 01750 22588.

November Young Parky Fiesta will be on Tuesday 6th November 6pm ish!!!
