SEPTEMBER MEETING CHANGE

FINAL REMINDER EVERYONE

 

THURSDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER MEETING

 

At this month’s Thursday meeting we will welcome back again after a long absence the Parky brain oa the Borders quiz, so get those thinking hats on. The quiz will be followed by a blether and a cuppa tea/coffee. It will be good to catch up with everyone and see whit we’ve been up to o’er the summer.

So that’s Thursday 26th September in the chaplaincy at the BGH 2 – 4

                                  

NORTH BERWICK

 

Well didn’t we have a lovely time the day we went to North Berwick! The weather was generous to us this year with the rain staying away for most of the day.

 

It stayed dry long enough for the putting competition and we can reveal that Tony was ousted from his champion spot. Full details of the Parky open in next month’s newsletter.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

MONDAY  30TH SEPTEMBER CANCELLED

                     

THE MEETING WILL NOW BE HELD ON

Due to unforeseen circumstances we have had to change this month’s meeting from the last Monday of the month to the last Thursday of the month. In the 13 years the group has been together this is the first time we have had to change the day of the meeting so apologies for that, after September we will go back to the last Monday of the month again which will be Monday 28th October. So finally many apologies, but this is up to date information

This is a reminder we need to know names for the pantomime in December our deadline from the Kings in Edinburgh is 20th September. To remind you the details as follows.

BENCH FOR SISTER DROVER

 

Just to let you all know the bench is now in place and can be found in the memorial garden between the day hospital and the chaplaincy.

 

See the day hospital staff check the bench out, for how many hours the bench gets the sun!

 

 

 

YOUNG PARKIES EVENT ON SEPTEMBER 27TH/28TH

We’re the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Parky’s Scotland have organised an event for young Parky’s in Scotland, I know a few of you are already booked up.

 

But if you hadn’t heard about and would like to know more call Lena at the Stirling office who will get details of booking and info on workshops etc..... on 01786 431 700

 

Also an update we are looking to restart oor monthly Young Parky’s meeting here in Borders, more information soon.

 

As we are looking at a couple of suitable venues in Galashiels, details soon.

 

Well I hope details will be soon or I’ll have to get a new wardrobe coz I’ll have put on a few stone checking out suitable eateries!!

 

 

 

We are in the final stages of putting together swimming exercises in the Eyemouth swimming pool. The plan is as follows still to be confirmed at time of going to printers.
