Can we just let you all know, that Gary has got some communication problems wi’ his hoose phone and can’t access his messages? If you have phoned him to leave him a message about anything such as the pantomime trip to book a seat can you try and get him again. Also Gary has been unable to access his email account for the last month his new email address is garyhattie1@gmail.com if you have tried to email Gary in the last month could you resend your email to his new address. You can still get him on the house phone but only if you talk to him, please at the moment don’t leave message.

The next meeting in the Chaplaincy Centre will be on Monday 31st October from 2-4pm. After a well-attended exercise class with Denise Carmichael from ‘Fit Borders’, this month sees the battle for the ‘Gordon Melrose Parky Brain oa the Borders Cup!’. Since the cup started the ‘Three Amigos’ are the only names to be engraved on the trophy!! Can this be stopped? Come along join in the fun, it is a crackin afternoon………. Honest. Also Aileen will be there to do some head massages for those wishing one. If you wish a massage speak to Aileen as you arrive and she will put you on the list if you don’t get done on the day you go to the top of the list for the next meeting. Hopefully if Jill Anderson is available she will come along to see us as weel.

So if you fancy a laff in the quiz, some relaxation, and a cuppa an a chat get along to the Chaplaincy, if you havenae been before come along you’ll be glad you did.

PANTOMINE REMINDER

 

We’re the Parkinson’s support and research charity. Help us find a cure and improve life for everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Well last month’s meeting at the chaplaincy was very well attended as we welcomed Denise Carmichael from FitBorders for another of her exercise routines, hopefully she enjoyed enough to come back next year.

The newsletter believes she will be back as she will get £30 if she can get a certain male member oot oa his seat am no telling ye who he is. Eh Jim, oops!!!

This month sees the battle fur the ‘Gordon Melrose Parky Brain oa the Borders Cup’. Can the ‘Three Amigos’, continue their strangle hold on the Cup having won it the last coupla quizzes, or might 3 be their doonfall!!??! Come along and make yer ain team tae knock them aff their pedestal. This month’s quiz will return to its usual format of General Knowledge, Entertainment an Music.

NEWCASTLETON CUPPA ANA CHAT

 

This month’s meeting will hae been and gone (sorry) … but to let you ken. their November meeting will take place from 1 – 3pm in the Newcastleton Health Centre on Wednesday 9th November, this will be the last meeting of 2016. So if you fancy coming along furra cuppa ana chat with other Parky’s in the area, we’ll see you there.

 

ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH

 

The Christmas lunch this year will take place on Wednesday 7th December 1pm. The menu will be sent out next month in the newsletter. As usual this will be held in the bloo coo (Buccleuch Hotel) St Bozells. Lines will open when you receive next month’s newsletter.
